ScIFER is a tax exempt organization engaged in research, educational and support efforts for selected museums and schools. Our objectives include the following: 1) to sponsor focused research activites, lectures and exhibits aimed at raising public awareness of the rich legacy of our ancestors. 2) to research and develop new approaches and techniques for acquiring, storing and analyzing information in specific ethnographic areas across both ancient and modern cultures for use by the supported organizations. 3) to develop new methods for the supported organizations to present and disseminate this information in order to enhance their educational objectives. By using advanced multi-media and virtual reality technology, ScIFER seeks to increase the effectiveness of the support organization’s efforts in stimulating broader public interest, awareness and understanding of the roles, ingenuity and lessons that underlie the world’s cultural heritage.
